Ariel Tushinsky was born in Israel in 1969. He has played as a soloist with various orchestras such as the Santiago Philharmonic Orchestra, Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Camerata Virtuosi at the Avery Fisher Hall - Lincoln Center in New York. Ariel has collaborated with conductors such as Zubin Mehta and Hans Graf. He has performed by invitation with Isaac Stern and Yefim Bronfman in honour of Mr. Stern’s 70th birthday.

He has performed throughout the globe both in solo and chamber music concerts and recorded for several radio stations in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, South America and Israel. Twice a winner of the Clairmont competition in Israel (1989, 1990),

Ariel is a regular participant in prestigious international music festivals such as “Banff” in Canada and “Pro Festival” in Germany. He has performed in major concert halls such as Melbourne Philharmonic Hall, Alte Oper in Frankfurt, the Berlin Philharmonie and the Avery Fisher Hall. Ariel studied with Bernard Greenhouse and is a graduate of Yale University where he studied with Aldo Parissot. His teachers in Israel were Marcel Bergman and Zvi Harel. He plays a cello on loan from the Raitman-Tubert Collection, Argentina.
